The Koran, Commonly Called the Alcoran of Mahomet (1806)

What's old is new again...

I'm always interested in the early history of the U.S.  I'm also fascinated with how we dealt with religious fanaticism drooling out of the Islamic World and the effect on our young nation...

The Muslim World has always had a relationship of contact with the United States.  Morocco was the first foreign nation to give our country recognition in 1777, albeit for selfish reasons, it was recognition nonetheless.  Wars have been fought off and on with various pirate nations who carried the green banner of Allah off and on from the late 18th century forward.  Nothing has really changed, only the names and locations.  It's really the same old story.

Behold!  I present to you the first American edition of the Islamic holy book, for your edification.  The To The Reader preface says it all...just as crazy then as they are now...Musselmen that is...
