John Steinbeck’s first novel was about pirates…Yo, ho, ho
and a bottle of rum…
I really don’t think of Steinbeck when I think of pirates
roaming the Caribbean…but that was the subject of his first novel…a tale of
Captain Morgan and the buccaneers. It’s
not his best work, because it’s early...but it is a fun book to read. The first edition AND the second edition of
this book are extremely rare…the second more so than the first if you can
believe that…but you can find them occasionally online, and later copies are
available….here’s one just for reading…if you so desire…
