Soylent Green is people!!!... Yum.
This is the book the movie was based off…minus the
sensationalized aspect of cannibalism. I
find it interesting that Harry Harrison was touching on issues that have become
more prominent within just the last few years…perhaps he was predicting all the
hoopla over climate change, overpopulation…the starving Third World…
The book is much different from the movie…but the murder
mystery remains constant…and both present a dystopian future…making for awesome
science fiction…or is it?
