A book fit for a President…

It’s a little sneaky to put Tom Clancy’s first notable book here on the First Edition Friday blog.  First…no pun intended...a 1^st/1^st copy from The Naval Institute Press is expensive.  Later printings are reasonably priced…but still.  I just can’t help putting this book into a modern classic category.  It was a revolutionary tome when it came out in the early 1980’s…I bought my copy at Price Club, and couldn’t put it down.  Even President Reagan read it in the White House…

The Hunt for Red October is worth the read if you’re into the juicy espionage novel…and even if you are not, ‘tis a story you shall not forget…and when you are done with the book, you can watch the movie!
