Dr. William Brooke O’Shaughnessy was a boy genius.  A poor Irish lad, his intellect garnered him a spot at the prestigious medical school at the University of Edinburgh, becoming an MD at the age of 20.  From there he went on to develop the first successful treatment for cholera, he went to India as a surgeon for the East India Company, and he was the driving force behind establishing the first working telegraph system in all of Asia…

He was also the first westerner to successfully introduce cannabis for medical treatment to the Western World…and he wrote about it…

So here’s a happy 420 to you Dr. O’Shaughnessy….and here’s a first edition of his work on the medical benefits of marijuana…or as the Indians call it…ganja
