Jules Verne’s first appearance in an English language publication...interestingly enough...was in the U.S.  A Voyage in a Balloon appeared in Sartain’s Union Magazine of Literature and Art in 1852, and the American love affair with science fiction was launched.  Enjoy this first edition story from a First Edition Friday favorite!
