Penned by Henry James, The Turn of the Screw was first published as a serial in Collier’s between January and April of 1898. As an actual book, James’ magnificent ghost story appeared shortly thereafter in October along with a second story, as The Two Magics.
Since its publication inception, everyone seems to have
their own take or interpretation of what this story represents. I suppose you can make this tale into
anything you want, but in the end, it’s just a really good ghost story…but feel
free to read it for Halloween...and make your own judgements…
