An Antarctic Mystery (1899)

Sequels...

You have to really appreciate that Jules Verne was really in tune with popular literature of his day...or that he was simply a shameless opportunist riding on the literary coattails of other authors.  Either way, he is one of the premier authors of the late 19th and early 20th-centuries.  His creativity saw no bounds, and I think it is extremely fun to read his sequels and artistic continuing interpretations of stories like The Swiss Family Robinson and Poe's The Narrative of Arthur Gordon Pym of Nantucket
