Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus (1818)

 Aren't I A Man?

In 1818, Mary Shelley published one of the greatest horror commentaries of all time.  It's popularity has never waned.  It was influenced in part by a night of debauched and drug-filled revelry fueled by alcohol and illicit sex...or so the rumor's say.  Either way, Shelley wrote a timeless novel of horror and social commentary...for the rest well, I'll let you be the judge.
